What are Validations?

Enabled validation is usually preferred because it helps ensure that the data is correct and consistent, which in turn helps minimize application errors and ensure accurate results. Disabled validation can be used in situations where the user does not want to collect all the data from the sow cycle or wants to customize the applications to fit their farm workflow.

Tip

Set the validations to reflect your farm workflow.

Enabled validation prevents erroneous data from entering the system.

Available validations in the Fetura Cloud system:

Require comment entry – Validation enabled requires the user to enter a comment when creating events. such as childbirth, induction or insemination

Require boar entry only per boar -Enabled validation requires the user to enter a boar only per boar. Disabled validation allows boar to enter all available sectors

Require insemination to be reported only on mating – Validation enabled requires the user to inseminate the pig only on the mating sector. Disabled validation allows the user to inseminate pigs on all available sectors on the farm.

Require blocking of insemination with other semen within the cycle -Validation enabled, blocks reporting of insemination when other semen than within the cycle is used. Disabled validation allows insemination with any semen.

Require that the ultrasound always take place after the reported insemination – Validation enabled requires the user to have the pig inseminated before reporting the ultrasound. Validation disabled allows ultrasound reporting without prior insemination.

Require validation of the number of days from insemination to ultrasound – Validation enabled requires that the appropriate number of days defined in the breeding settings have passed before an ultrasound is reported. Validation disabled allows the user to report the ultrasound at any time after insemination.

Require delivery to be reported only in the delivery room – Validation enabled requires the user to report delivery only in the delivery sector. Validation disabled allows the user to report a birth on any sector on the farm.

Require that the birth always take place after a reported insemination – Validation enabled requires the user to report the birth under the condition of a previously reported insemination. Validation disabled allows the user for reporting a birth without a previously reported insemination.

Require verification that the appropriate number of days has elapsed since the previous birth – Validation enabled requires that the appropriate number of days defined from the breeding settings has elapsed before reporting a birth. Validation disabled allows you to report a birth without verifying the interval.

Require verification that the appropriate number of days has passed from insemination to delivery-Validation enabled requires that the appropriate number of days defined in the breeding settings have passed before reporting delivery. Validation disabled allows the user to report the birth at any time after insemination.

Require weaning to be reported only in the delivery sector – Validation enabled requires that weaning be reported only in the delivery sector. Validation disabled allows reporting of weaning anywhere on the farm

Require that weaning notification always take place after birth notification – Validation enabled requires the user to report piglet weaning only after birth notification. Validation disabled allows you to report the weaning, even when the birth has not taken place.

Require that the number of piglets at weaning is not greater than at sow -Validation enabled requires the user not to wean more piglets at piggeries than are currently at sows. Validation off allows any number of piglets to be weaned, even if there are currently too few piglets at the sow.

Require to wean only full litters – Validation enabled requires the user to wean only full litters from sows. Validation disabled allows the user to wean only part of a litter or gives the option to report several weanings in succession.

Require to move a sow only within the farrowing area – Validation enabled requires the user to move a sow with piglets only within the farrowing sectors. Validation disabled allows the user to move a sow with piglets to any sector on the farm.

Require to report no pregnancy only when insemination has been reported – Validation enabled requires the user to report insemination if he then wants to report no pregnancy on the sow. Validation disabled allows reporting the absence of pregnancy on a sow even when insemination has not been reported.

Require the app to automatically recalculate the weight of a fall – Validation enabled does not allow you to change the weight of a fall when it is reported. Validation disabled allows editing of proposed weight when reporting a fall

Require tattooed gilts to have insemination with only one boar – Validation enabled requires that gilts that are tattooed have insemination with one boar per birth cycle.

Require a breeding event report to mark the associated task as completed – Validation enabled requires the user to have the task completed only if an event associated with that task is entered Validation disabled allows the user to approve tasks despite not reporting the breeding task

Require on user to approve generated tasks on scheduled date – Validation enabled requires on user to accept tasks only on scheduled date Validation disabled allows user to accept task on any date
