Yes. Climate controllers can be connected to the FarmWatch Pro system via a digital input.
Hardware Requirements
The climate controller must have a solid-state output or a relay on its alarm output. Without such an output, it is not possible to connect the controller to the FarmWatch Pro’s digital input.
How many controllers can be connected?
FarmWatch Pro has up to 8 digital inputs. If there are more than 8 climate controllers, you can group them—for example, by sector (mating, gestation, farrowing)—and connect each group to a single input.
How Does a Group Connection (Serial Loop) Work?
When several controllers from the same sector are connected to a single digital input, this is done as a serial connection (loop) through all the controllers in the group. If an alarm occurs on any controller in the loop, the line is disconnected, the input status changes, and FarmWatch Pro triggers an alarm for that input.

Each digital input can be named according to what is connected to it:
- single controller – describe the input as a specific location/controller,
- Group of controllers in a loop—describe the input as the sector name (e.g., “Climate Controllers—Delivery Room”).
The general configuration of digital inputs and alarm thresholds is described in:
