1. Open the Camera Settings<\/h3>\n\n\n

- the camera manufacturer<\/strong>, for example, “Dahua”,<\/li>\n\n\n\n

The camera address allows devices to identify one another on the network. You do not need to change or remember it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once the search is complete, check the list of cameras. The newly detected camera should appear as the next entry. It may have a default name, such as \u201ccam-2.\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the camera does not appear in the list, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Check to see if the camera is connected to a power source.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Check to make sure all the plugs are fully inserted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Check to make sure the power cord is not loose, pinched, or damaged.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Check to see if the camera and the device are connected to the same router or network switch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Wait one to two minutes. The camera may take some time to start up completely. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Press the “Rescan”<\/strong> button again .<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
The camera is visible, but I can’t connect to it<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Check to see if the correct camera is highlighted with a blue border, and then press the “Connect”<\/strong> button again .<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
If the connection still does not work, check the cables and the camera’s power supply. Then restart the camera and perform a network scan again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are several cameras on the list<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Compare the names and addresses displayed next to each item. Before clicking the “Connect”<\/strong> button, select the camera you want to add. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To make future use easier, give each camera a different name that corresponds to its installation location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
